FLATO ACADEMY THEATRE PRESENTS
THE WIZARD OF OZ
The Wizard of Oz" is a timeless tale of adventure, courage, and friendship. Follow Dorothy as she’s whisked away to the magical land of Oz, where she embarks on a journey to find her way home. Along the Yellow Brick Road, she befriends the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, each seeking something they lack. Together, they confront the Wicked Witch and discover the true power of believing in themselves.
Filled with enchanting characters, unforgettable songs, and a heartwarming message, this classic story continues to inspire audiences of all ages.
Both Lindsay and the theatre are so fortunate and blessed to have such talented people in the community who step up year after year to deliver exceptional and well loved productions. Beth Wilson returns this year as director and is joined by her Creative Team of Alana Collver (Choreographer), Lynne Davis and Chris Mabee (Band Directors), Marion Puffer (Stage Manager), Jen Mabee (Assistant Stage Manager), Jen Simpson (Costumes), Corne Lerm (Props) and MVW Construction and Engineering (Sets).
As far back as 1962 the Academy has had a mandate to stimulate interest in music and dramatic culture. This starts in our community. As in previous years, what a thrill it is to have the calibre of cast we have for Wizard of Oz. Our community has such a deep bench of gifted actors who commit to weeks of rehearsals to bring you the best in musical theatre.
The Academy and the creative team both aim to bring the magic of live theatre to our local community, fostering creativity, collaboration, and cultural enrichment. By involving residents in every aspect of theatrical production, from performance to behind-the-scenes work, we seek a vibrant and inclusive space for all.
The Academy can’t thank all the participants enough for believing in this theatre and raising money to support it.
All sales are final unless an event is cancelled, postponed or rescheduled.
